Extras and Insurance

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included with each rental. It covers the rented vehicle in case of damage or collision, as long as the incident falls within the terms of the waiver. You'll be charged for damage up to the full self-risk amount, as well as a processing fee. A refundable security deposit of €3,000 is required and will be taken at the start of the rental.

Tire Protection covers the cost of fixing a flat tire or a new tire if it can not be fixed. All tools needed to change a tire come with the camper. Zero 0 EUR Self-Risk

Gravel Protection covers damages to the windshield, headlights, body and paint on the front of the vehicle caused by gravel thrown to the vehicle by passing vehicles. Zero 0 EUR Self-Risk (Recommended).

Sand & Ash Protection covers damages to the paint, windows, lights and components of the vehicle caused by ash- and sandstorms. Zero 0 EUR Self-Risk.

Scratch & Dent Protection covers all scratches and smaller dents (4x4 cm or smaller). Zero 0 EUR Self-Risk  (Recommended)

The Super Collision Damage Waviver is a comprehensive insurance provided by VÍS insurance company, reducing your financial liability in case of damage to a self-risk of 430.000 ISK. Please note that the self-risk amount may be subject to change in accordance with the insurer's terms.

All in one package for worry free travel. The Premium Package covers all protections above, including Zero Self-Risk Protection, which reduces the deductible for the SCDW (comprehensive insurance provided by VÍS) to zero. This means Cozy Campers covers the deductible, as well as any potential exchange rate differences and processing fees, so you can travel with maximum peace of mind. Zero 0 EUR Self-Risk (Highly Recommended)

Standard rental agreement is set for one driver only! Extra driver will get the same contractual rights and obligations as well as insurance coverage per contract. Please be advised, drivers are not registered in advance and are therefore not insured.

Cozy Campers Roadside Assistance is your safety net on the road. It offers assistance with changing a flat tire, dead battery, key lockout, getting the camper stuck & towing.

Please note that any damages caused to the vehicle due to these incidents will be charged under the terms of the rental agreement. Does NOT cover assistance on closed / forbidden roads or off road.

There‘s no need to run out of power. The inverter has one European outlet and one USB outlet, it can be used to charge your phone, camera and computer among others. It changes 12 v to 230 v. Simply plug it into the cigarette lighter and you‘re up and running. 

Rent a towel from us and save spae in your luggage. You dont want to miss out on all the hot springs and geothermal swimming pools iceland has to offer! 

One gas bottle is included with each rental. If you plan on cooking your own meals while traveling in Iceland you might need a few more bottles. For the ones you do not use we will refund you when you drop-off the camper. We recommend one bottle for 3 days.

Travel BBQ Grill. It comes with one gas bottle. you can add more gas bottles if you like, For the ones you do not use we will refund you when you drop off the camper

 It‘s easier and safer to hike with Trekking poles!   Rent Trekking Poles from us and save space in your luggage.

The safety of your child is important. European safety requirements and standards are fulfilled.

Note: For safety, children under 135 cm (4'4") should use a booster seat with a back. If placing a child seat in the front passenger seat, be sure to deactivate the airbag, as required by Icelandic safety regulations.
